Hearty congrats  - Smt. Sethubai Rajagopalan MA MEd Principal was conferred the title GURU SIRONMANI by Mudhra and Sankara Eye Hospital Pammal  in recognition of her outstanding service for the cause of education and imparting cultural values among children.


Hearty congrats  - G. Aravind XII A was awarded Ignite 2015 conducted by NIF (National Innovation Foundation) an autonomous body of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for submission of innovative idea on “Printed paper reclaiming machine”. The award ceremony was held on November 30, 2015, during which Hon’ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee gave away the awards in IIM Ahmedabad in the presence of Sri O.P.Kohli Governor Gujarat and Smt. Anandiben Patel Chief Minister Gujarat. A legal patent was filed in his name for this idea.

Hearty congrats  - Kum. V.Aishwarya of IX Std was selected one among the 133 students who participated in SYT (Students and Youth for Thiruvalluvar) competitions conducted in Madurai. She was honoured with ‘Thirukural selvar Award’ by Hon. Tarun Vijay Member of Parliament, Uttarkhand in the Parliament House on 17th December 2015. The school was presented with “Thirukkural Promotion Award’ for active involvement in popularizing Thirukkural.

Hearty congrats  - Students of Volley Ball Girls Team - V.M.Akshaya, V.S.Shunmuga Bharathi, M.E.Sanjana, G.R.Rakshana, H.Sakthi Sadhana, R.Sneha, Y.Safiya Begum, H.Roshwikaa, S.Jaya Harini, V.Gayathri, G.V.Kirthika and  L.Madumithraa won I Place in Vidya Bharathi National Tournament and CBSE South Zone Tournament.


Sanskrit  week 

  A welcome thought by CBSE to promote this ancient language.

  Date : 7th- 13th August, 2014

  The following activities were conducted by our vidyalaya  students

  • Skit on Shistachar or Discipline.
  • Speeches were rendered on the topic ‘Kalidas’, our country ‘Bharath’, ideal family, Life of ‘Swami Vivekananda’ the Wandering Monk, Dasavataram and ‘Importance of Vidya’.
  • Conversation was held on the daily habits.
  • Recitation of ‘Bhagawad Gita’, ‘Guru Ashtakam’ and ‘World Peace and harmony’.
  • Power point presentation on the ‘Importance and value of Sanskrit language’.
  • Exhibition on the theme “Science in Samskritham” with charts and models.


  So little done; so much to do to foster the cultural greatness of this beautiful language.


Ganit week 



   Date : 16th – 22nd December, 2015

 The following activities were conducted by our vidyalaya  students

  • Ganit week was observed from 16th December 2015 to 22nd December 2015 in order to commemorate the 128th birth anniversary of Dr.Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan. Various activities were conducted during this week.
  • 16.12.2015 - Students from class I to VIII participated in mathematics relay race and in solving series of questions given. They did with great interest and enthusiasm.
  • 17.12.2015 - Students of VI to VIII std formed a “DATE MAGIC SQUARE” for a given date and solved Rubik’s cube which develops creativity. Further they were asked to solve various mathematical puzzles which create interest in mathematics.
  • 18.12.2015 - Students of IX to XII were asked to form pascals triangle, and they were tested in some concepts in Vedic mathematics which develops their confidence, speed and accuracy.
  • 19.12.2015 - Maths quiz was conducted for the students from I to XII std and they actively participated.
  • 21.12.2015 - Students from VI to XII participated in solving “Sudoku” which develops numerical and mental ability.
  • 22.12.2015 - L.Deepthi of VIII B  delivered short speech on Dr.Srinivasa Ramanujam and his contributions towards mathematics. A few students of VI to VIII submited innovative projects on mathematics. The teachers of entire maths department organized this Ganit week fruitfully and beneficially.
  • The observance of Ganit week happened to be the eye opener for all students invariably, through which they accumulated more knowledge in mathematics, and also about Dr.Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan.


Achievement (2014 – 2015)

  • R.ARVIND, XI B secured III place and won Rs. 2,000/- cash award in CBSE National Level Sanskrit Essay Writing Competition on 13.8.2014.
  • A.KIRANMAYI, V A won Rs. 5,000/- cash award and prize in CBSE GURU UTSAV National Level Essay Competition.
  • S.Hari Priya, XII A has been selected for UDAAN project (Mentoring Girl Child for admission into premier Engineering Colleges).
  • K.Parwesh Musharraf, X A won a SILVER MEDAL in 3000 mts running race and BRONZE MEDAL  in 1500 mts running race in CBSE Cluster V Inter School  Athletic meet held at Sri.Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Salem. He is qualified for National meet. He received a merit certificate from CBSE.
  • Our Girls team won 4th position at National level in CBSE National Volley Ball Tournament  held at Kasauli International Public School, Sanwara(H.P).
  • NISM conducted a online test (NFLAT) on 28th December,2014. 725 students from classes VIII - X participated. Our school will get a cash award of Rs.25,000  and a citation. This is the second consecutive year.
