This festival is celebrated for nine days with utmost  devotion and dedication to various gods and goddess to invoke the blessing. Idols are displayed on specially erected shelves. Pooja is performed every day classwise.

This year the celebrations began on 25th September, 2014. It was a thematic Golu based on the topic “International Year of Farming”. In addition to this 108 sthalangal of Lord Perumal was on display. Songs and Dances glorifying  the goddess were presented. The school reopened on the Vijaya dasami day .


Parents Cultural Show

It is an annual feature, providing a platform for the parents of our vidyalaya  to showcase their innate talents.


MUSIC FESTIVAL

CULTURE REVIVED 

To nurture music and to foster our culture, a 12 day music festival is conducted from 1st January to 12th January every year. Artists from the neighbouring areas and students drawn from various schools present concert which is witnessed by students and parents.

This year it was Inaugurated by Kalaimamani Smt. Geetha Raja on 1st January, 2015.

ARTISTIC GALORE     

 "Treasure of Indian Music" -Calendar -2015  was released on 1st January,2015 by Sri.Hariharan, Member, Hindu Samaya mandram.The skill and creativity of the young artists of our vidyalaya  was surfaced. They portrayed the famous musicians and the musical instuments as well.

 

GANA SANGAMAM

        

To promote Communal harmony GANA SANGAMAM, an intra cluster community singing programme was inaugurated on 19th November, 2014 by Kalaimamani. Sri.Rajhesh Vaidhya, Renowned Veena Artist. 17 music teachers of West Chennai Sahodaya Cluster Schools  and 170 students participated. The Music teachers were felicitated by Kalaimamani. Smt. Bhushany Kalyanaraman, Renowed Carnatic Vocalist.

About Us

The Vidyalaya  had its humble beginning with a students strength of 174 in a small rented building in 1977, grown today into Junior College classes upto XII
